About this course

Students completing this course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to able to develop an asthma management strategy and provide asthma-related first aid interventions in the workplace.

This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.

Face to Face minimum duration is 1.5 hours.

There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.

During registration for this course, students will be required to undertake a short online LLN assessment.

Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.

Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and practical assessments including assessing emergency asthma situations and completing required paperwork. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment.

The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years.
