This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Face to face minimum duration is a minimum of 3 hours.
Face to face refresher course is a minimum of 2 hours. Students must present a copy of their previous certificate.
There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Participants must have the physical capacity to use appropriate equipment, posture and handling techniques to conduct a manual move and/or lift.
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and practical assessments. Scenarios will be conducted in a simulated environment and will include preparing for and completing a manual task and the completion of survey forms and risk assessment forms.
There is no renewal recommendation set by the industry for this course.
