The Fire Safety Adviser Training course prepares personnel with the skills required to act as a fire safety advisor during day-to-day matters and also during an on-site emergency as required in the Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008.

This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Face to face minimum duration is 2 days.
There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and practical assessments including health and safety requirements, identifying hazards, the completion of reports, and a range of checklists relevant to the outcomes of the course. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment which will include managing a small chemical spill and containing a small fire.
It is recommended to renew this course every 3 years.
